7Q, MALAWI (Update). Allan, G0IAS, updates OPDX that Les, 7Q7LA, will once again be on the air. He is hand carrying some (ham) stuff for Ron, 7Q7RM, to make sure that it arrives safe and sound and doesn't get lost, broken, or what mostly happens, stolen, on its way there.!! Les will leave the UK, on the 28th of this month and is expected to arrive at the Lakeshore on the 30th. Harry, 7Q7HB, should be at Lillongwe International to meet him there where he will either fly him to the Lakeshore or be driven up there to Club Makokola. Les will stay here with his XYL Faye until the early part of January 2005. However, Harry, 7Q7HB, will leave for the UK on November 10th. The two 7Q stations will try their best to put something up for 80 and 160 meters. OPDX was told these two bands are very hard to operate on due to the noise level. More details about their 160/80 operations are forthcoming. QSL Route for 7Q7LA remains via DIRECT ONLY to G0IAS (not allowed to use the RSGB and there is NO BUREAU in 7Q).

His callsign is 9V1CW, and Enno will be in Singapore for about 3 years. He is using a FT1000MP and a broadband vertical (GPM-1500 by WiMo). If the vertical does not work out satisfactorly, he will try to hang out a G5RVjr (10-40m version). Due to a heavy travel schedule, Enno cannot be active very often. Look for him on 80-10 meters (30, 17m in particular), 99.9% CW as indicated by his callsign. All QSLs via PA0KHS (Bureau is OK). The QSL cards are already printed (high quality glossy cards, design based upon the Singapore flag and printed by ON5UR).
