ARLP045 Propagation de KT7H

Disturbed conditions from a week ago faded away, and geomagnetic indices for the past few days have been stable. Look for conditions to become difficult again around October 31 and again on November 15. November 10 through 12 should have stable conditions.

Solar flux should meander around the 75 to 80 region, with the flux value currently dropping. It should be back around 80 by the middle of next month.

For the CQ Worldwide DX Contest this weekend conditions should be stable, although solar activity will be very low.

Sunspot Numbers for October 19 through 25 were 29, 38, 40, 47, 35, 35 and 36, with a mean of 37.1. 10.7 cm flux was 80.5, 82.5, 81, 80.5, 76.7, 74.3 and 74, with a mean of 78.5.

The path projection for the contest weekend is from the center of the United States to the South Pacific, North Africa and South Africa. Combined with last week's projection this should give a fair prediction of propagation to most of the world.

To Australia, check 80 meters from 0930 to 1300z, 40 meters from 0900 to 1330 and 30 meters from 0830 to 1500. 20 meters looks best around 1530. Check 17 meters from 2030 to 2200 and 15 meters from 2130 to 2300.

To South Africa look at 80 meters from 2330 to 0330z, 40 meters from 2300 to 0400 and 30 meters from 2200 to 0100. Check 20 meters from 1930 to 2230 and 17 meters from 1600 to 2030. 15 meters should be open most days from 1630 to 1930.

To North Africa check 80 meters from 2300 to 0400z and 40 meters from 2230 to 0330. 30 meters looks good from 2100 to 0030 and 20 meters from 1430 to 2200. 17 meters should be open from 1600 to 2000, and 15 meters on some days from 1730 to 1900.
